Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh said Monday that around 100 governmental projects will be inaugurated as part of the BJP-led government’s first anniversary celebrations in the state. The BJP-led government headed by Mr. N. Biren will complete its first year on March 15.
According to a report in North East Today, N. Biren said the Union home minister Rajnath Singh will visit Manipur on the occasion.
“Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh would visit the state on March 14 to attend the anniversary celebration that falls on March 15,” he said, speaking to reporters on the occasion of Hill Leaders’ Day and Meeyamgi Numit at his office secretariat complex.
“I would also seek a confirmation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would lay the foundation stone for Sports University, inaugurate ministerial block of civil secretariat, Dolaithabi and Thoubal projects among others,” Mr. Biren said.
He further added that he would also seek permission of Prime Minister to lay the foundation stone for the construction of Regional Football Academy during his visit.
“The government would install floodlights in the Khuman Lampak Main Stadium soon and would upgrade the seating capacity of the Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak,” he promised.
“The performance of the new government is satisfactory towards bringing development in the state,” he asserted.
A Times of India report added that N. Biren attended to 380 complaints and personally met close to 800 people, during the latest Hill Leaders’ Day and Meeyamgi Numit. He also pointed out that the performance of his government is satisfactory in terms of bringing development to the state.
